I totally get your problem of "info-addiction", I'm guilty as well ... the more we plan & research, the more perfect our vision of our future looks like. Eventually, we're too scared to follow through because our envisioned dream-life is beyond reality.

Your idea of starting experiments is exciting. Don't expect too much from your actions, just do things which are fun to you, and eventually you're going to find your path.
